Re: Revis vs Woodson - DPOY discussion

I'll take Woodson, but it might be more fitting to have a Co-DPOY.

No, he doesn't play multiple positions, and that's a plus for Woodson, but I'd rather the best cover corner in the league.
And Woodson has done this PLUS MORE and in the context of this award, which again will come down to numbers ultimately, really can't see how Woodson doesn't get it.

I'd go Co-DPOTY this year really, but if the Jets aren't given two free games and a wildcard spot, this isn't even a debate.

Revis: 91 targets, 35 receptions, 38.5% completion rate, 10.5 yards allowed per completion, 4.05 yards allowed per target, 134 yards allowed after the catch, 2 TDs allowed, 6 INT, .5 TFL, 27 passes defended, 30.9 QB rating.

Woodson: 63 targets, 34 receptions, 54% completion rate, 11.7 yards allowed per completion, 6.31 yards allowed per target, 158 yards allowed after the catch, 5 TDs allowed, 8 INT, 4 FF, 2 sacks, 5 TFL, 14 passes defended, 60.3 QB rating.
I'm curious where you found these stats because I'm trying to find a site that has advanced stats like this and I can't find them.

He might, but this thread isn't asking who you think will win it, its who you think should win it.

Someone on another board posted them, I'm not sure where he got them from. I'm also looking for a site with more stats like this

Re: Revis vs Woodson - DPOY discussion

If we're living in a fair world they'd be Co-DPOY but I think Revis will win out just for the fact that Woodson's numbers went down quite a bit around week 13-14 while Revis seemed to play at a high level all year long without any slippage.

Re: Revis vs Woodson - DPOY discussion

first when you wrote woodson i thought you meant greatest defensive back of all time Rod Woodson. I'm not a jet fan i actually hate them but i give revis the nod. He still has time to learn more and he is already on of the best in the league
