Interesting. For a FA QB, the Cardinals would almost have to be the most desirable team with Fitz and Quan.

Re: Warner to retire after season?

He almost retired last year so this is probably a foregone conclusion. It'll be very interesting to see what happens. I think the Cards would be nuts not to go after a FA because I can't see them having the same amount of success with Leinart at the helm.

He's got nothing else to prove and plenty of money. Might as well leave while he still has his health & his game hasn't deteriorated to Jake Delhomme & Brad Johnson levels.

I thought he signed a 2 year extension this past offseason?

If the Cards can make the playoffs without Warner, Ken Whisenhunt will officially be the best coach in the league, IMO.

Wouldn't that depend on who they bring in as a QB? Besides the NFC West is so bad that it should be relegated to the AFL.

He did, and I think he had intentions to play it out. But since that concusion he had earlier in the year that had him miss a game or two I've figured he was going to hang them up after this season.

I doubt that Anquan will be staying after this season, I hope he does stay, but even though things between him and the team have seemed somewhat better I think he's on the way out this offseason.
