i hope teams think that so the Chargers might have a chance.

Re: MattUMD224 2010 Draft Database

Golden Tate was a success because of Clausen, not the other way. He put up great numbers because he had a great QB throwing to him. In my mind, Tate will be a good #2, but never a star or #1. I think he will end up being the 4th or 5th best Wide out, behind Bryant, Williams, Benn, Lafell and depending on if he gets a chance, Alexander.

He went to my high school. He was a decent player in high school, but didn't really have any interest from any D-1 schools. So he went to UConn just as a student, and then decided to walk on his sophomore year. Didn't really do anything his first 3 years but block, and then around the 4th game this year caught a long touchdown pass, and after that he exploded. He's got all the physical tools, I could see him really moving up the draft boards after the combine.

As much as I'd love to give all the credit to Clausen, IMO, I think you have it the other way around. Clausen was a success because of Golden Tate. Not to mention Kyle Rudolph and Michael Floyd.

Nice posting, look forward to more updates and analysis.

IMHO, the 2010 draft is loaded in the DT and WR positions. On the other hand, this year's top 10 is really weak, if i was a GM drafting in the top 10, i would trade down and get an additional 2nd or 3rd rounder.

I think Gerhardt will make an impact in the NFL...... I really liked to watch him run over people this year.

There is no D in Gerhart. C'mon people, the man was third in the Heisman!
