Even though last year when both were healthy Ed Reed had a better shot at DPOY? And actually, now that I remember, Ed really wasn't healthy most of last year.

I actually really like Troy P. I think him and Ed are 1a and 1b... and they are both pretty different in their approach to dominating a game so it's hard to compare them.

Very true....It's hard to compare a LOS Safety to a cover guy like Reed. Having said that, Troy P is still amazing in coverage which is rare to find in a safety who is so dominant at the LOS.

I have to say yes. He was always a very dominating presence, and then in his last year they let him actually play like a free safety (roaming around more, not playing the run first) and he did GREAT. Man, he had so so much upside..

An example whereby in death, a players legend and legacy overtakes reality.

I have him Tied with Polamalu as being the best if here were still here today. Ed Reed is Overrated IMO.

I'll say yeah. Before he died, he was leading the NFL in interceptions and caught Brett Favre record interception(picked him off twice in the same game)

Reed definally fell off abit. Sean Taylor if he was still alive today could be near the top or the top. But , Sharper ,Brian Dawkins , and Polamalu are a tie for me.
