I don't think the conditions will play a big part on why the offense might not work. The biggest reason the offense is not going to work is personnel.

Too many times I hear about the excuse of weather for being the reason the Bears cannot get a solid passing game. But yet, in the late 80's I see the 49ers with Joe Montana and Jerry Rice come to Chicago in January in below zero temperature and put on a passing display that just rips the Bears D to shreds. Or how about in the mid-90's and watch Brett Favre in his prime come to Chicago and school the Bears defense. And he's done it both when it was raining and when the weather was below zero.

And this goes beyond just Chicago weather. How did the Packers work out in the 90's? Green Bay has about the same(maybe worse) conditions in the winters than Chicago. Or how did it work out for the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo, NY in the late-80's/early 90's with Jim Kelly and company? The crazy winter weather didn't seem to affect them.

So this idea of weather is a big farce. The only reason why the Bears never had a great passing attack is because they didn't want one. They never seem to put the talent around the team to warrant one. So the system is going to fail because of personnel. Nothing else.

This will end badly. Mike Martz, unless he has had an ego check will kill this team.

Alright I love aggressiveness but I don't love spread offenses that leave QB's to be drilled play after play. I also don't like the use of formations over setting up plays. Which I am pretty sure Martz likes to sub personel groups and formations a lot.

Not a happy Bears fan.

Yeah, each to their own I guess. I love it, absolutely love it. I will be tuning in to the all the Bears games and if they can get some more help at WR, I think Cutler is in for a big, big year under Martz.
