Say the guest was bald...do you think her first words would be "where'd you hair go?" or "you wearing a bald cap?"

It's just a very strange thing to make fun of, I don't think she's stupid enough to make a joke like that on purpose - so no I don't think it was a joke, I think she thought it really was lipstick or something. I've seen her before and I don't know of anything similar to assume she was joking.

It's still a very minor thing, and my comment about an apology was implying during a break or something, like a little acknowledgement that she effed up - that's all.

I hate awkward moments though...so yes EEEEEK!

and also I agree - i hope she's gone from tv so a whole segment of the American population can start thinking for themselves again.
