Do I have to keep going? Because I could.
And Reggie Bush is a bigger match up problem then all of those guys. Not necessarily a better player but he presents a harder cover. The TE's on the list would be the only people who I would say would be on this list. The rest are a traditional players that are just exceptional. Not only is it Bush's talent but his versatility that makes him so hard to game plan for. You cant line any of those Back at wideout and you cant put any of those wideouts in the backfield.

If Bush is a bigger matchup problem than, say, Andre Johnson, then why isn't he breaking games open week after week like Johnson does? Why isn't he having seasons like Ray Rice or Chris Johnson had where they were incredibly effective running and receiving?

Versatility means nothing if you aren't making plays from either position.

Re: Why Reggie Bush is worth the Money.

Take away Bush and the Saints are still in the Playoffs. Take away that opportunistic turnover prone defense and they're another 8-8 team. The defense and the continued greatness from Drew Brees is the reason the Saints won the Super Bowl. But the biggest difference from the last two years and this year is the defense. Not Reggie Bush. Sure Bush creates matchup problems and it'll be great to keep Reggie with the Saints, but either way they're still in the Playoffs as long as Brees and that defense is still around.

And please refrain from the "you must not watch the Saints" argument. So stupid.

A bigger match up problem than CJ!? Now Reggie is a match up problem and he is versatile but, c'mon now. I don't watch the Saints but, does bush line up out wide that much? I know the chargers do it with Sproles a lot to spread out the defense and do other things but, I don't think he's harder to cover than every on that list including what you said about TE's.

When does he ever exploit match ups?

When I think "match up problem" I think big plays.

Bush has 3 40+ yard plays in his regular season career (though again, 2 don't matter), and 2 in the playoffs.

When it comes to "match up problems" there is Chris Johnson, Randy Moss, and the rest of the field is so far behind it isn't funny.

What back you know is going average 5per with less than 7 carries per game?
Bush did average 5 yards per carry this year.

More importantly, it's easier to average more yards per carry with fewer carries than it is with more carries.

Quote:
Besides Brees Bush is the most vaulable asset for this team period.
He's not anywhere close to that.

The most valuable skill player shouldn't be fifth in yards on the team.

That's why he was shut down all year in '09 instead of, say, running for over 2000 yards and breaking the NFL All-Purpose Yardage record, right?
