Grade your team's 2009 season.

Grade how well or bad your favorite team did last year.

I'll start with the Bengals.

The 2009 season was a huge improvement for the Bengals. Winning the AFC North and going undefeated in our division was a huge accomplishment especially beating the Steelers and the Ravens two tough teams twice.

This was the strongest defense I have seen the Bengals put on the field ever. Mike Zimmer really turned this defense around and they played great all year. I was really impressed with our 2 corner's Leon Hall and Jonathan Joseph. At least 1 deserved a Pro Bowl bid IMO.

Offense was a mixed bag. Cedric Benson had a great surprising year. He proved a lot of people wrong and gave the Bengals a strong running game. Really happy to have him here in Cincy. Feel like he should of won Comeback Player of the Year over Tom Brady.

On the other hand our passing game wasn't too good. Palmer just isn't the same. Was not impressed with him too much this year. He hasn't been the same since the injury against the Steelers though.

The huge thing that impressed me with the Bengals was how they won close games early in the year. The Bengals have never been able to drive down the field during clutch time and score yet this year they did and they also made stops when they needed late in the game.

This year was bittersweet for the Bengals. Happy to see them win the division and make the playoffs. This year was tragic though with Henry's death.

Overall grade: B

2009 Steelers: C-

Defense never really got to hitting.

Offense struggled against weak teams.

Injuries really derailed us.

Coach tried to inspire late but performance fell flat.

I give my Tennessee Titans a (B-)

The 0-6 start killed us right out of the playoffs. But, once Vince started playing, it all turned around. After going 0-6 and completing the season 8-8 was great. Even having the chance of making the playoffs after the 0-6 start was great, it Gave me hope. The defense early in the year was awful, they couldn't of stoped a high school team at the time. I think the with the coaches' jobs at risk really made them step their game up.

You have very high expectations for a team who has never won a Super Bowl. I could see the Steelers having this mindset since they just won it last year but hey to each their own.

But the Chargers always do seem to come upo short in the playoffs after great regular season so I bet Chargers fans have to be extremely fusturated.

2009 Jets

A good season for the Jets this year, reaching the final four of the playoffs.

A rollercoaster year with a great start, then a form slump and with a few lucky breaks here and there.

Defense was great, led by Rex Ryan and Mike Pettine. Darrelle Revis had a exceptional year and deservedly went to the pro bowl.

Offense had a good year. Particulary the running game. Mark Sanchez had a few issues during the year(sliding, ints) but played with a strong running game and a consistant o-line which gave him time to adapt to the speed of the game and towards the end of the year, showed some of his potential.

One thing the Jets needed to improve on is closing out games. Close games lost that could of been won were the Bills, Dolphins and Falcons. Instead of a 9-7 record, it could of been 12-4.

All in all, a pretty good first year for Rex Ryan's Jets.

Rating: A. Note: Personal opinion.
