Even if this doesn't happen, we can still get McCoy at 3. But I would really like to see Suh

Maybe it's just me, but this seems like a pretty bad trade for the Rams.

It basically comes down to whether you believe a third rounder and a bad quarterback make up the difference between Suh and everyone else.

Personally, I don't think they do.

This would be a bad bad trade for STL especially if Johnson doesn't live up to expectations and Suh turns into a HOF type player which I can see happening if he keeps his work ethic.

Why don't the Rams just sign Vick and then draft Suh? Seems better, no?

Re: Rams to trade #1 Pick?

This deal makes a lot of sense, assuming the Rams are planning on drafting a quarterback in addition to receiving Johnson.

Hint hint: At the #3 pick, they won't have to pay Bradford or Clausen as much as if they drafted them first overall.

Edit- Plus having Johnson may just be a smokescreen to teams like the Seahawks who may also be interested in getting a quarterback.

That's if the Lions don't take McCoy at 2, which is very likely to happen.

Re: Rams to trade #1 Pick?

This seems really stupid on the Rams side. Why do they want Josh Johnson? Why not just sign Vick and draft Suh? The whole thing seems dumb, unless you're a Bucs fan or part of their organization.

And the Lions need or even want McCoy why?
