I guess there's worse out there as far as head coaches go. That's about the best thing you can say about Phillips as a head coach. He's a really good D-coordinator, though.

He was a big reason the Cowboys lost to the Vikes, IMO.

From an outsiders perspective, it never ceases to amaze me that Jerry Jones spends all this money on the Cowboys (like a brand new stadium, however much on the roster)...And then hires Wade Phillips as head coach. Maybe it's an ego/control thing.

Speaking as a Cowboys' fan, we could have had Vince Lombardi on our sideline and we still wouldn't have beaten the Vikings on that day.

Yeah Wade Philips isn't getting fired anytime soon. He's a very average at best head coach but a really good D-Coordinator. He's just one of those guys who's better suited to doing that kind of thing rather then handing the day to day operations of the entire roster.

Still the "Music City Fraud" still rankles my chains to this day.

This is his last year, hes cursed! He should have never benched Doug Flutie...

since then,

Music City Miracle,
Chargers Playoff Chokes while he was Defensive Coordinator,
Romo Fumbles Snap on Kick to win game,
Continues bad luck in playoff games...

Its one thing to do be cursed, but then you have Tony Romo as a QB... Dallas does have a chance as long as those 2 are together in Dallas.
