Why are you taking it so defensive that he doesn't like your new CB?

Having seen Cromartie as much as I have, I am skeptical but we'll see. Hopefully he'll be able to stay out of trouble in NY as well. Something he didn't always do here.
Let's not forget that Baltimore defense that he orchestrated for quite some time.

Did i ever say that, or anything remotely.

And besides if coaches were never wrong, bad trades and draft busts would be non-existant, no?

Right, but lets be honest that defense was pretty stingy and super scary long before he ran it.

Personally I don't like the guy, but tough to argue with his results last year.

You have it all wrong. I don't care how he feels about Cro...I just find it ridiculous that he's trying to predict the future and throw out all of these buzz words and empty statements that you hear on tv to try to justify his dislike for the guy.

Irrational dislike of someone is human nature, it's not necessary a good thing, but it exists. Trying to rationalize your irrationality is the problem I have.

It's common around here you know that. If you don't agree with me you are either a ***** or you don't know what you are talking about.

You've been here long enough to know that.

There was a huge difference in the defenses the two teams played. My point was the Chargers defense wasn't quite as passive as Cromartie or others would have you believe, especially once SD got on their win streak. You don't play the fronts and bring the types of pressure they did (due to lack of productivity in the front 7) while still playing a ton of zone coverage.

The problem I saw with Cromartie was, I believe that hip injury may be chronic, he's lazy in man coverage a lot and ends up getting run off a lot and giving up on routes, and he also gets caught looking in to the backfield a lot.

His problem this past year wasn't defensive scheme or scenery, he was his own biggest problem this past year.
Did you watch the vid in the link I posted? Did you see all of the combo and zone blitzes? I agree with the part about Cro being his own problem a little bit, no doubt about it. I said it once and I'll say it again... he played below his potential. It still doesn't add up to it being a bad move for the Jets tho.
