Has anyone signed Oj Atogwe?

The Bears need a FS bad, I heard they were interested in him and the Rams only issued the lowest tender for him

No, and it's most likely teams won't. Reason being that the lowest tender St. Louis offered him comes with a "right of refusal" for Atogwe. This is usually done for two reasons; one, so the team doesn't have to pay the franchise player franchise tag money -- close to 7 million in Atogwe's case and secondly, it's usually done in an attempt to sign the player to a long-term contract.

The Rams know he has until I believe June 1st to sign an offer sheet with another team or they have to cut him or pay him the 7 mil. The reason I say most teams probably won't try and sign him is because they don't want to take the time to work a contract that they know St. Louis will match. So basically St. Louis is using this tender to buy time to pay him less than the franchise tag in either one of two ways. By another team making the contract and matching or negotiating a long-term deal themselves. Kind of sucks for Atogwe either way.

Exactly. Go Rams! I hope they sign him long term, he's a stud.

He wants too much money right now. The Rams will have to pay him a lot or he will be free for other teams. I think he will wait, be cut, and then his price will come down. At that point, more teams will be interested.

I hope Miami will go after him after being screwed over by Ryan Clark.
