That's because none of this is the REAL story.
The real story here is that the Jets owner publicly called out Goodell and questioned his integrity. He basically said the coin toss was "fixed" if an actual coin was tossed at all. He's right in his complaint too. Even if Goodell simply changed his mind on the idea, he should've at least invited representatives from both teams in to witness the coin toss. Hell they could've made a spectacle (er, event) around it. Whether it actually was or not, the way it went down seems shady. But what will be interesting is how the league and Goodell respond to being called out like this... considering Goodell technically works for the owners.
