Even with a 4 game suspension, unbelievable trade for the Jets.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Santonio Holmes traded to the Jets

As a die-hard Steeler fan who grew up in northeast Ohio, I am a tad stunned by this, but after a few moments I'm not surprised. Santonio, though talented, is a headache.

He has an impending contract next year and I don't see the Steelers making an investment in him. It may also be the Steelers have fallen in love with a WR to draft - mark down the name Carlton Mitchell of South Florida...

These 2 posts pretty much sum up my thoughts. I think they should've gotten more than a 5th rounder though. At least they still have Ward and Wallace plus they brought Randle El back (who oddly enough Holmes was drafted to replace)

Ben hasn't been charged with anything yet. However, he'd better watch himself. I read that Mike Tomlin was at Tim Tebow's Pro Day.

I know that some will jump to this conclusion, but the Steelers don't look at skin color... They had one of the first black QB's in the league (who started over Bradshaw) and the "Rooney Rule" regarding minority coaches is a landmark for the NFL.

The Steelers always have their rationale, and it usually works. Yeah, I'm disappointed in that a 5th rounder seems like they got screwed, but there might be more to this story... But who knows. The NFL is a strange league...
