Please do not make Vikings-Packers a Week 16-17 Matchup.

Really Philly wants to be embarrassed on Thanksgiving now? Week 17 and the Playoffs wasn't enough.

It will have to be. What would be the point of matching either of those teams up against Detroit late in the season?

Have they announced the Saints opponent on opening day yet? They usually announce it before the schedule is released. Not sure if I missed it or what.

Actually that's EXACTLY what this change would help. That would still be a division game which means that if (for example) the Packers vs Detroit game ends up being the tie breaker for the Packers to win the division, that'd happen on week 17 instead of say week 14... Packers can't rest players.

Yeah I get what you're saying but I really can't see how the top two perceived teams in each division won't be playing one another in weeks 16 or 17.

The Charger schedule will probably be fairly easy.

Can't wait for the release show. Will they release the actual schedules before the actual show?

Roger Goodell has just announced that the Vikings will play against the Saints in New Orleans on Kickoff Weekend (Thursday, September 9) to open the 2010 regular season.
