Back on topic about the jersey sales.

The sample is 4 years. If it was 10 or 15 year sample then I would be impressed. 4 years? Not so much, that's flavor of the month. Jersey sales have zero reflection on talent. Im sure Couch jerseys outsold Bailey jerseys in April 1999.

I would assume that jersey sales now are much higher than they would have been 10 to 15 years ago.

As a whole no doubt because it's more centralized and every player on the roster is available. In terms of individual rookie jerseys, it's more of a crapshoot. I worked at Olympia Sports & Footlocker in 98 and 99 in Boston. We couldn't keep enough Manning jerseys in stock plus it was the beginning of the jersey craze and cats were buying 3 or 4 jerseys at a time. Mainly because they were priced at 39 bucks and the more you brought the more you got discounted. Manning sold so well that we started selling them as sets (home & away) for 70.

I cant stand him personally. Well, not him.....just how everyone is always on his jock.

I cant even watch a Nascar race or god forbid a criquet game without someone mentioning him it seems like. Im afraid to go to church because I am sure Ill be there and my preacher will say, "I was going to talk about sin.....but lets talk about Tim Tebow."
