Route running was never really is problem. Laziness and lack of prep was his problem.

If he's focused and in shape he might still end up the player we thought he'd be.

He might turn into a serviceable 3rd-5th receiver, but I doubt he'll be all that good.

Yeah, I agree. I don't think Pete Carroll is really the guy to whip someone into shape

Carroll said. "It's the best I've seen him since maybe his sophomore year of college. He's very serious about it, so maybe he gets a chance to give us some help."

Not to read too much into this but - isnt his sophomore year most likely the last time Carroll really saw him?

good luck to the guy if he is really serious and can turn it around as he had potential to be a total beast (in his soph season). He's making an effort which is more than a lot of the busts out there that have security and are willing to sit on their a$$es.

Give the guy a chance to prove you right or wrong before you make a judgement.

This article reminds me of the articles I used to read about him when he was in Oakland. They were all saying how he made these spectacular catches and stuff in practice. I guess if you can't get away from coverage, you have to make spectacular catches if you want the QB to throw you the ball. Anyway, like keji said, I wouldn't read too much into this. It would be cool if he DID turn it around in Seattle though, mainly because I made a bet with someone that San Fran wouldn't win the division.
