Micheal Vick or Eli Manning Who's a better overall #1?

For me it depends on the team.

Good team: Eli

Mediocre to bad team: Vick

I often compare Mike Vick to Allen Iverson. Neither fit particularly well in a structured offense, but if they're relied upon to be the first, second, and third option they're great. For a bad team, Vick is as good of a player as I've seen.

I don't think it's as big a difference as some are making it out to be. Knowing what I know now I'd probably take Eli, but Vick never had a defense that could hold the highest scoring offense of all time to 14 points. People often forget how great his defense played and that the most memorable play of his career was an awful throw (nice play though).

Inorder, for Eli to play well he needs strong receivers.

BUT,..his brother Peyton can make 3rd string recievers look like Jerry Rice.

So my point is that Eli can't make marginal players around him better, like Peyton or Farve and because of that he'll be always viewed as a good quarterback but not great.

How is this even a poll? Eli has a SB ring and played in one of the most exciting SB's I have ever seen. Vick was ok a few years ago and is a backup.

Since leaving VT, never in his career has Vick been unstoppable. I know there are droves of people who love him, and we all know why, but he's about as overrated a player as there ever has been.

Eli has a ring, Eli is not fighting for a starting QB job he's locked in to the position, Eli is the better passer.

This one's not even a close race. Eli's a good QB. Vick is a marginal QB at best, who will be sitting behind Kevin Kolb as the starting QB for the Eagles. I somehow doubt Eli Manning would be behind Kolb on the depth chart. If not for McNabb being moved Vick would be the #3 guy there again.

^^^ Vick had a few teams that were good, too. Vick's problem is his accuracy, and tendency to take off running even when there was no pressure.
