You said he was unstoppable and he won games. Clearly that's not the case as I just pointed out. Now you are back tracking with basketball analogies.

Make all the excuses you want for him, bottom line was, he was simply a mediocre QB, who lost more games than he won as his career progressed.

I was just trying to help the debate. It's kind of hard to have one if someone is not arguing for the other side. I wish you could elaborate. People often like to present their arguments as facts when they are not. I just asked a simple question!!

Some stuff never has enough merit for it to be a debate to begin with. Anyone who knows anything about football knows that Eli was and has always been a better passer. Quarterbacking rests heavily on throwing the football and all of the components involved, then there is leadership. Vick missed the mark on both levels.

He was an exciting player, nothing more. He won games, but not enough, and the fact that his passing was often subpar... he simply made nice highlight plays while losing games. No one outside of this thread will ever compare the two or ask for a comparison because there isn't one besides them being #1 picks... and if we isolate it even to just that, Eli is still the winner there for reasons that are totally obvious like staying out of trouble, staying in the league, playing well enough as a passer (like a QB is expected), and being respected as a leader.
