Police aren't releasing the name of the player in question because he is still under investigation. 6 other players were questioned and released: Clay Matthews, Brad Jones, Matt Flynn, Korey Hall, Khalil Jones, and Josh Sitton. It happened at a cabin in the dells at a golf tournament. Two women are reporting it, so I'm not sure if it was a threesome that the player is saying was consensual or what.

Thanks for the link. I was wondering who it was. Yea, Underwood isn't very popular among the coaches to begin with.

You can't cut him for it until he is charged. Even if ya don't like him, you can't rush to decisions.

I don't think he's guilty. But Ted Thompson will find a way to release him.

Underwood is actually one of the competition guys for the Nickel and Dime spots. I doubt he gets cut. And I hope he's innocent here.

Off topic a bit, but why do the coaches dislike him, Sting?

EDIT: After reading WAAW's article, it sounds like a bunch of "he said, she said" and the police didn't file any charges. Two 31 and 33 year old women being 'sexually assaulted' by a 23 year old? And Underwood is a pretty slender guy.

If these women were really assaulted, and harmed or whatever, then I think we'd see something being done. They'd have immediately took him in to custody.

are you serious? you can cut him for any reason you want. just wait till training camp cuts and release him there

I dont think he meant you cant cut him by rule, I think he meant we shouldn't cut him until we know for sure.
