If you're gonna point fingers at the "tuck rule" prepare to have the Immaculate Reception brought up.

Damn, Raiders do get screwed alot.

Re: Best 10 year stretch ever?

I think the 90's Cowboys would rival that of what the 70's Cowboys did but then again, I wasn't alive to witness the 70's teams.

With that said, I'd have to go to Pittsburgh on pure SB wins and 2nd would be the Patriots seeing as they're the only squad listed who had to deal with free agency & parity, which makes it much much harder to build a team to win and keeping them intact long enough to win consistently.

I would go with the 60's Packers.

Re: Best 10 year stretch ever?

I'm going with the 49ers. Obviously because of the numbers listed, but also because of Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Bill Walsh, and the West Coast offense. Steelers of the 70's a verrrrry close 2nd.

Re: Best 10 year stretch ever?

The Niners hands down.

Their stretch was nearly 20 years! (1981-1998) They were remarkably consistent and even when they didn't win the SB they were very near the top in the league. Hell, if it wasn't for a HORRIBLE call in the '83 NFC Championship and Joe Montana getting jacked up in the '90 NFC Championship game the Niners almost certainly would've won 2 more SBs then they did. During this stretch of dominance the Niners fielded arguably the greatest team of all time in terms of personnel so they get my vote.

The only team that comes close IMO are Lombardi's Packers in the '60s.

That would be moot as that's 11 years worth of games.

49ers first, then the Steel curtain, Pats 3rd
