I see them as a solid team that if things break right for them will probably make the playoffs.

Re: Surprise Teams

Everyone is listing surprise teams for the positive, but with these up and comers (and surely a few to let down), what playoff teams or fringe teams are going to take a step back this year?

Arizona. Easy one, but I don't think it'll be because of Leinart. I think he'll have a successful year. I think both New Orleans and Minnesota won't be as good as they were last year, though I definitely think Minny makes it back to the playoffs. The Saints may have a tougher time ahead of them... I like the Falcons in that division. In the AFC, I'm looking at the New England Patriots to miss the playoffs with the resurgence of the Jets and a tough Miami team.

Just going off feel here.

I think Cincy and PIT will take a step back. Cincy will be a better team than last year but have less success. They overachieved a bit last year and I still don't think are all the way "there" yet. I think they go 9-7 or 8-8 and miss the playoffs.

I think PIT, who missed the playoffs last year will probably hover around the same record, but I consider 2 years of missing the playoffs a step back for the Steelers. Unfortunately, I think they'll be prime to fight for the division again the next season.

I think the Eagles take a step back too, but for all the obvious reasons listed on paper only so they could easily prove me wrong.
