Well I never said I agree with them

Ha, I was actually going to bring him up, but after thinking about it, I think he really is actually overrated by a select few.

I just think he is over-hyped and talked about way too much...

Re: Are there any QBs more overrated than Tony Romo?

Stat-wise, he is no way overrated. Some due make him seem to be the best QB in the league which he is not. He isn't the best QB, and he's at least top 10. The only thing people get blown away with and call him "overrated" is the fact in big games, at times, he did struggle.

It's all the same though, look at the 2008 season, Aaron Rodgers put up huge numbers, but he couldn't pull out a close game. Even though the defense was terrible. Tony Romo has done a few choke jobs in big games and in the playoffs, has his fumble troubles and what not; but in all, he's a damn good QB. You can't judge a QB off his playoff success if he's putting up big numbers. This comparison isn't close, but Marino put up big numbers without a ring. Who's to say Romo doesn't put up top 10 career numbers when it's all said and done without a ring. Not having that ring, doesn't take away from what he's done over his career.

Romo isn't overrated. He wasn't even drafted yet puts up pro bowl numbers from the jump. He is very good. I like Matt Schaub too. No way is that guy overrated.

I will say however, that Aikman was the best game manager in the NFL durring the time in which he played though.

There is a reason the Cowboys won those SB's in the 90's, and his initials are ES.
So Aikman had nothing to do with those SB's?

Yeah, I recall Aikman was a SB MVP too, but I guess maybe the ball just magically made itself appear in his receivers' hands.

And this is my biggest defense for Romo. The guy came from a no where small time college, learned the game, sat on the bench for 2-3 years and once given the opportunity, put a stranglehold on the starting position. Why so much hate for a blue collar, everyday guy who legitimately worked and earned his way to success?
