I think he was better than 'not great' but not as good as hall of famer, since hall of fame is largely dictated by the success of the rest of your team in addition to your own skill level. In the right system, on the right team, Vick certainly seemed to have the talent to be special at one time.

I think he sucks. If he didn't have legs then he'd be a shell of what he is. He sucks.

I speculated his skills may have gotten worse but I didn't mean to say he was over the hill. Just to clarify, what I meant by my post was that in 6 years in the league he did not improve much as a passer so there was little reason to speculate that somewhere in the foreseeable future he would suddenly focus on that aspect of his game.

Oh and just to clarify some more, I never really saw anything in Vicks actions that he was looking to take his passing game issues and fix them. To me it seemed he was just fine with playing the way he was known for, as a speedy fast athlete who was a hit or miss kind of QB with poor field vision, an incredibly inaccurate but incredibly strong arm.

It just seemed like that was how he wanted to play, I don't feel he ever wanted to become a field general like Brees or Manning. If he didn't want to aspire to that then it's highly unlikely he ever would have.

I think without legs pretty much the entire NFL would suck, especially for those kickers.

LMAO, that's too funny....speaking of which, and not to go too far off topic, I was listening to someone on the radio the other day who wondered why there were no armless pro soccer players. One would think they'd be especially agile with their feet..

Its hard to say. I think he was good qb. Its tough for a qb to mature into an elite athlete with 4 different coordinators at the beginning of his career. We shall never know his full potential b/c of this and his off field problems.
