In the mind of a truly depressed person, death seems to be a better way out than living a life with absolutely no hope. Most of the time people aren't diagnosed, and then something like this happens.
Precisely, Deft. Depression has a deep hold to the point that it is extremely difficult to get beyond...Sometimes drastic measures are taken for whatever is causing the stress/anxiety whether it be a job, family or just everyday life. For me personally, it finally got to a point that I got tired of feeling the way I did and sought for a way to better myself; fortunately it didn't get advanced enough to where I thought suicide was the only way but with deep depression, the thought does arise and is contemplated.

Many prayers for the McKinley family. I hope SC does something for the family in memorial.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Only if you've been bitten by a zombie but, other than that...no it isn't.

R.I.P.

I could never commit suicide. I don't got the heart to do it.

Wow. Very tragic. RIP

And like others have said, depression is something that cannot be truly understood without being experienced.

I'll bet he has that condition associated with football players and suicide.

R.I.P. though, man.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Broncos organization and his family.

i hadnt heard about it until just now, but apparently he came back for the georgia game where he was honored for being the school leader in receptions and receiving yardage. its impossible to make sense of it because we dont know what he was going through.

he was a great football player at south carolina, joy to watch. full of life is a phrase that gets repeated a lot in reference to him. like others have stated sometimes you just dont see these things coming, such a shame.

Suicide or not, the death of such a gifted person affects everyone. Our teams may go out and tear the hell out of each other, but we are all family, both fans and the players. We should always respect each other no matter what. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and with the Broncos.

R.I.P Kenny McKinley
