Re: 49ers @ Chiefs

Anybody else notice how often Crabtree is just out of position? He has caused two interceptions so far this season just by not being where he needs to be.

HA! I say that and two plays to Crabtree, one of them a great snatch and RAC.

All kinds of weird stuff in this game....2 freak INT's, surprise onside kick, Haley's punt gambit, and now a flea-flicker.

Stupid anti-climatic flea-flicker though. Those are so exciting because they're almost always touchdowns or turnovers. The 49ers are masters at turning the most exciting events in football into "meh":P

Re: 49ers @ Chiefs

Why would you run anything but screen passes against SF? They haven't stopped one all season.

SEE!!! That's what happens on tipped passes to other QBs! If that was Alex Smith, it'd be a pick.

Re: 49ers @ Chiefs

10-3 Chiefs at Halftime.

49ers run defense has been strangely absent. Rarely does a team impose their will on the 49ers front seven like this.

Offensively, the 49ers haven't played poorly. Its basically standard operating procedure for the 49ers to run the ball up the gut and gain nothing in the first half in order to wear down their opponent and run in the 2nd half. I'm not concerned about that as yet, but it needs to get going in the 2nd half in a big way.

The big question is whether the Chiefs can maintain their advantage in the 2nd half. Having only managed a 7 point advantage despite out-playing the 49ers as much as they have, they have to be somewhat disappointed. The 49ers are still in this, and pride dictates it's do or die time now. The season rides on this half of football for the 49ers.

Re: 49ers @ Chiefs

Four first downs in the first half isn't poor?
