Exactly how good is Peyton Hillis?

So far, Peyton Hillis has destroyed both the Ravens and Bengals defenses and is top ten in rushing.

However, my question is: is he as good as he appears? Remember last year, this was the same offense that produced Jerome Harrison and his massive amounts of yards at the end of the year...

Is this just a flash in the pan or is Hillis a legit, top ten NFL RB?

I don't think he's a top 10 RB, but I think he's a viable starter from the little that I've seen of him.

I consider him a very solid back. And from a fantasy standpoint he's been far more productive than the clowns on my roster (B Jackson, Kuhn, Marshawn Lynch, Beanie Wells, and McGahee).

Re: Exactly how good is Peyton Hillis?

I know as a Browns fan its hard to believe that we could actually have a top tier RB. My only worry with Hillis is that he runs with reckless abandon, which could lead to injury problems.

You also have to remember that the Browns have a great Offensive line. I would put Thomas, Steinbach, and Mack right there with any other left side in the NFL. Not to mention we arguably have the best FB in the NFL in Vickers.

So I think with the combination of Hills' running style and the strength of the offensive line, he could be a top 10 RB.

I always heard he was a bad man and couldn't live up to his potential in Denver.

I don't think he's half as talented as the better backs in the league, he just runs hard. And despite what people think, Cleveland has some good talent on their line who can give him push. He seems like a good guy to have, I would rather have him as a secondary back, though. I don't think he'll be able to make it through a full season without injuries.

He's a good "thunder." Give him a Jamal Charles or Chris Johnson kind of "lightning" and the Browns would be a pretty tough team.

Agreed. Browns need a homerun threat and they'd be legit
