Poll is terrible, no offense.

Calvin Johnson, easily.

There should be quite a few more names on that list. I know i'm very happy having Mike Wallace in Pittsburgh.

Re: Best Young Receiver Now

elgrezy, I hear what you're saying, but I just have to disagree (with some of it). You make good points about him not being big enough to beat the bump or go over the middle, stating that he makes his name off the big play. Which is true; you can't argue against his physical traits. But those same physical traits are what makes him so slippery and tricky. Maybe being smaller makes it easier for him to beat the bump because there's not as much body to bump. Plus, he's made defenses look foolish too much for it to just be a fluke. It's like clockwork week in and week out; Jackson has a 50+ yard gain. Is he really that opportunistic that he's seeing the missed coverage, as well as the QB, and capitalizing? There's got to be an explanation. I think he's a really good 1A or B receiver, and that's fine for the roster that he's on now. If he tries to chase the money to become a true #1, it's likely he'll be exposed (as will the team that offered him that opportunity). He's a "different" kind of top receiver.

Re: Best Young Receiver Now

Calvin Johnson, easily. The guy is ridiculous.

Wallace is impressive, too. I don't know where I'd rank him just yet, but he should be up there with the rest of the young names. Teams know he's going deep and still can't cover him, while he's made a number of pretty great catches the past two years. I still want to see him become an 8-10 catches kind of guy, to really judge him.

Jackson, I still have doubts about. He doesn't seem to come down with the really hard catches. Even his BIG catches seem to be shoddy defense more so than him being awesome. I see him as a burner right now, and not much more. We've seen how bad Philly's offense becomes when teams take away that space from Jackson. One dimensional is the word I would use for him.

CJ81. Calvin Johnson all day. Wish the Panthers had him to go with Steve Smith.

Re: Best Young Receiver Now

I know I sound like a homer, but just wait until Wallace has Ben throwing him the ball and not a 4th string QB.
