Does Junior Seau have Chronic Trumatic Encephalopathy (CTE)? CTE symptoms are similar to Alzheimers disease such as memory loss, impulse control loss, suicide attempts, eventually progressing to full blown dementia. If CTE happens in the brain stem the result is ALS or Lou Gehrigs disease. It is caused by Tau proteins that form after truama to the brain stem even minor repetitive injury. CTE is fatal and there is no cure.

Football is apparently dangerous and play it at your own risk for even minor injury to the brain can begin the progression to CTE. Chris Henry had it and he was only 26 years old and was not known to suffer concussions!
