Re: Ever been to the Hall of Fame?

I have been wanting to go for a long time. It is a long drive, so it would have to be a long trip as in stay in a hotel and stuff. One of these summers I am going to take a trip there. Knowing me, I am going to spend all day there. I feel like it would be a top 5 experiences of my life

My thoughts exactly except when Brees gets in.

I've always been into football for as long as i can remember so I'm hoping I'll enjoy it. I went to the baseball HoF like 5 years ago and didn't really appreciate it as much because at the time I wasn't really into baseball

Re: Ever been to the Hall of Fame?

Took me two hours and change to see everything. Wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Didn't buy anything in the gift shop because everything was way overpriced. It's weird how in the bust room they have those nice touch screen tv's but in the 100 years room they have old tv's playing even older TAPES! And why in the Madden display are they still missing the past two covers?

Yes but I'm old and went back in summer of 84, so much has changed since then. Except for the gift shop prices that is.

That was a hell of a summer. Started off in VA, went to DC, then into Pittsburgh. From there to Canton for the day. Then went up into Detroit to old Tiger Stadium. Then went to Toronto and the Canadian side of Niagra Falls. Left there to Cooperstown then traveled to New England. Went to Fenway, Martha's Vineyard, and plenty of historical landmarks. Plymouth Rock being the one that still sticks out. Then left New England and into Manhattan. That was the last stop before returning home. Took about 3 weeks but got to see so much.

And they have a little theatre showing last years super bowl highlights. The seating area turns completely around in the middle of it and on the other side the screen is bigger. Made absolutely no sense. Just show it on the big screen the whole time.

When I went they showed highlight plays, bloopers and other interesting "behind the game" kind of stuff.

Re: Ever been to the Hall of Fame?

I've gone each of the past 3 years for the enshrinement ceremonies. Art Monk and Darrell Green were my 2 favorite players growing up so I had to go back in 08. If you really want to soak in the museum its best to not go during the enshrinement weekend, so many people that you feel like cattle. For 08 my friends and I got there really early and not many had shown up yet so that was nice. My first impression was that I thought it would be larger, but it was still a blast. I would recommend everyone to go there once during the enshrinement. I'm hooked now and get tix every year and make the drive. I even got a few friends now that want to go every year.
