Re: Pass Interference has to be looked at by the league!

In the Patriots game one of the recievers for the Steelers like dove sideways at the defender and then fell down when he hit him.

I didnt know diving at a defender like that then falling down counted as defensive pass interference.

When I saw that I was like wtf, thats like flopping in basketball.

Won't be able to take the judgement call out of PI, but what they should consider looking at is how it's penalized, make it a 15 yard penalty or something rather than a spot foul. You can punch someone and only be penalized 15 yards, while some incidental contract down the field can move the ball 60 yards.

What I don't like is when a receiver complains, and then suddenly a flag comes down. It happened last week vs. Cinci, when Ike Taylor had TO covered downfield and TO screams at the refs afterwards because Ike had one arm tangled with TO's, even though it didn't affect the play since he wasn't holding him. The ref then throws a late flag after TO complains. That should never happen.

It's a necessary rule, I just wish the refs would let them play a little more. Just barely making contact shouldn't constitute a flag, since it's not going to affect the outcome of the play. It's at the point where receivers complain if a DB momentarily puts a hand on them.
