I wonder when we will see the new(ish) designs.

Is it before the draft?

I mean, a 1st round draft pick holds up a jersey and I'm sure Nike doesn't want them holding up a plain white Tshirt that says "Colts" on it in black lettering.

It wasn't unreasonable. He just started a thread about this in another forum that I closed because of this existing thread.

They'll probably just hold up the old one.

This is Marcel Dareus last year. Obviously Buffalo didn't wear these this year.

It's a touch different, though. The Bills were just a redesign, not a switching of the official outfitter of the league. I imagine if they hold up a Reebok jersey this year, they could get sued by Nike.

Right. That's what I was thinking but didn't exactly say in my post. Isn't there a certain date that the league 'year' starts? I'm sure that Nike would reveal them soon after.

Sent from the right side of my brain.

the only thing different about the uniforms will be the type of fabric and the logo unless a team wants new uniforms. and it wont be in 2012 theres a 2 year application process to change uniforms.

Hmm. I didn't think of that. Time to do some digging...

Wikipedia tells me that Reebok took over from Nike in 2002. The Buffalo Bills, weirdly, also changed uniforms that year. They had a high-*** pick, so I googled a photo of the dude they drafted.

Here's Mike Williams, some O-lineman that busted out, on his draft day:

So, apparently the answer is just a really really generic uniform is what they'll be holding.

But the Bills uniform WAS a really really generic uniform.
