I don't think Carolina would trade for VY and then draft a QB.

That's just what makes sense to me though.
Me personally, I don't think he'll end up in Carolina but, if he was to go there and a high draft pick(I'm talking top 10) not, some 1st round Tim Tebow project I don't see how the draft pick isn't started immediately with the way the NFL is now.

Always pays to have a solid back up but, I don't either(think VY will end up in Carolina). A late 2nd rounder was traded for Charlie Whitehurst to Chargers and he's a number 2 there now. He was the 3rd string QB in SD it can happen.

As a coach how the hell do you not go talk to your injured QB and see from him personally whether he can go or not? It's baffling, and Fish is not taking nearly enough flak for the way this thing has disintegrated in the past few days.
all I know is Fisher better not have a losing record the rest of the way or he will be dodging a bus himself

Re: Vince Young to Undergo Season-ending Surgery

Young for Clausen? One team gets a legitimate NFL QB in Young who can either A) become the franchise QB or B) play well enough until he eventually falters and the reins are handed over to whoever the Panthers draft at QB (assuming they do, and I'd say they would with a strong class coming out). I say they win the deal in terms of talent pretty handily, but the Titans get rid of a headache and still gain a QB who has some game experience as a highly touted rookie and a lot of upside (whether you think he's just another ND QB or not, he has "potential").

Maybe...

I want to liken Young to the recent Moss and TO transactions where the talent was still there but it's the "other stuff" that gets in the way. But I think Young may be just as talented, and younger, and at a more primetime position. So his price tag is high in my opinion, even with the off the field stuff.
