Ron Winter can't count to three (Pats @ Lions Week 12)

Summary of the Lions' FG drive at the end of the first half:

:39 Hill pass to Brown for 9 yards (DET timeout #1) (NE timeout #2)
:32 Hill pass incomplete
:28 Brown rush for 1 yard (DET timeout #2)
:18 Hill pass to Pettigrew for 11 yards (DET timeout #3)
:14 Hill pass incomplete
:09 Hill pass to Burleson for 20 yards (DET timeout #4)
:02 42 yard field goal by Rayner is good

For those wondering how the officials screwed up... look at the timeouts. On the first play of the drive, the Patriots' Brandon Meriweather was injured, but the Lions called timeout before the clock was stopped due to the injury. The timeout should not have been given back to the Lions, as the only circumstance in which a charged timeout can be given back to a team is if there is a replay review, which there was not. It doesn't matter that the Patriots were charged a timeout; the Lions' timeout should have stood.

Ron Winter, you are the worst ref in the history of the NFL.

Because of the Merriweather injury, the first one was a mandatory NE timeout, so Detroit got theirs back
