NFL Films Super Bowl Box Set

I have always been a fan of the NFL films Super Bowl shows. Especially the old one's when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's. This year, for Christmas I bought myself the set with SB1 - SB30. It has been out for several years now, so you can get it farily inexpensivley.....about $30.

For anyone who enjoys NFL history, I can't recommend this enough. What I didn't expect, is that in addition to all the Superbowls, each disk also has about 20-30 minutes of additional footage and recaps from that particular season. Some really cool stuff that brought brings alot of memories.

Just thought I would throw it out there. Happy Holidays.

No, not the full games, the 30 minute hightlight/recaps NFL Films style. They have a knack for making even the dullest/worst games played seem dramatic and exciting.

This films were probably a bigger deal 25-30 years ago when the media options weren't anything like they are today.

Looks like this fluctuates quite a bit on Amazon. 2 days ago it was $22...now it is $49. I got mine 3 weeks ago for $36:

Thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna try and wait til it settles in that $20 range. I remember when I was a kid, every Friday I would walk to the video store and pick up the only copy they had of this Super Bowl complilation, similar to this, but it only went to like Super Bowl 20. I could take it back, pick it up a week later, and the tape would be right where I left it.

That Doomsday music and Kurt Gowdy brings back some memories. I know that Cowboys highlight by heart.

Although if you really want the actual games look around for certain team's Greatest Games sets. I have all 6 of the Steelers ones on DVD though the older ones look like 3rd generation tapes.
