Re: Where would you rank David Garrard?

His one really good season, he had the most ridiculous running game and line we've seen in a while, with MJD/Taylor. Nobody could stop that tandem. He didn't really have to do a thing except not turn the ball over, which was a situation he excelled at. Once he lost Taylor, and the line came back down to Earth, he's been pretty mediocre. Of course JAX did a great job drafting/signing bust after bust WR over the years.

Being a "threat out of a pocket" is basically where teams are afraid of you beating them with your arm and your feet consistently. And honestly, the only guys that fit that description in the league right now for me are(not basing this off just one year either)Vick and Rodgers with Josh Freeman not too far behind in that category.

Freeman
E. Manning
P. Manning
Rivers
Rodgers
Roethlisberger
Romo
Ryan
Schaub
Vick
I would take him over Flacco, Cutler, and Schaub without thinking twice. Garrard just seems more like a winner to me than they are. The others are about right.

A winner in what sense because going by that, technically Flacco is a winner too.

In a sense that he can bring you back and win games against superior teams. I think back to that Indy game earlier this year and how he brought them back. He also had an impressive late drive against the Giants this year that almost brought them back.
