Re: Bill Cowher set to return to coaching

I'll believe it when I see it. We've heard that he's going to return to coaching for a few years now. Although I've always contended that he'd return once his youngest daughter finished high school. I believe that happened last year. Plus with his wife recently passing from cancer, I'm sure he wants to coach to get his mind off things.

Rumor around here is that he has a handful of rules as to where he'll go. The only team fitting those rules is Houston. The Giants might also fit the bill, but I've heard he wants to go South (Miami doesn't have a QB so I don't see that happening - a good, young QB was one of his rules).

He could always draft a QB in Miami, they're going to be picking high. He's already got Long in place.

I would love to see what he could do with the Texans.

Houston doesn't run a 3-4, do they?

They run a 4-3. I don't keep on eye on Houston much but Mario Williams does seem to be their only pass rusher.

Miami's 7-7, that's not that high of a pick; #17 as of right now.

I didn't think that they did. That would make it a 3-5 year transition for him in Houston, since he'd change them to a 3-4, and they don't have the personal for it. Plus Mario is a beast in his role now, what do you do with him in a 3-4? Houston is probably going to be out of the question.

I don't know why, without checking their standings, but I thought they were significantly worse, like 4-5 wins. Whoops.
