So here's a question I heard asked on tv or radio this morning, can't remember. If you needed just one punt return to win a game and you absolutely knew the punt wasn't getting kicked out of bounds, who would you take? Devin Hester or Deion Sanders? I'm going Hester. Thoughts?

He's only in his fifth year and he's already statistically the greatest return man of all time. I don't really see how you could not go with Hester.

That's what I said, but whatever it was that I heard the question on this morning, I'm thinking Dan Patrick, there were at least two or three guys that said Deion Sanders.

The only way I'd be able to pick between the two is to see a stat comparison of punts kicked their way, fielded punts, etc. If I recall, NOBODY ever dared punt it to Deion, but I give Hester his due, the man is electric in the open field.

Deion had 37 more punt returns for 4 fewer TDs and 2 fewer YPR.

Yeah, Deion was more of the dude that nobody threw to his side of the field.

Teams don't kick it to Hester. If he is returning the ball, it's because the punter missed the sideline or the coach is an idiot who is thinking "our unit will stop him".
