And the NFL continues it's attempts to sissify the sport.

That picture on deadspin is wrong. It was snowing pretty hard at the time it got canceled. There was just a dusting on the ground, but you get the point.

This isn't to "sissify" the sport or anything, this was because of all the fans being drunk and trying to get home with a few feet of snow on the ground. I still think they should have just played the game and told fans to stay home, but what can you do

My buddy near Philly said there was nothing on the ground at about 10 after 12.

Yeah, this is definitely a way to protect all of the fans that'd have to drive to and from the game. Not safe at all, and there's no way an NFL team would say "Sorry, the conditions aren't safe so just stay at home and we won't refund you for the ticket or anything."

Way too much money spent on these games, by the fans, to risk anyone getting hurt or risking pissing them off by having them waste the money for the tickets.

He is probably right. Different areas don't all get snow at the same time

Pretty sure an incoming blizzard is a good reason to not play a game, unless you don't care about no one showing up/getting stranded at the Linc.

I think had this game been a noon start, it would've been played.

I guess you're right. But the NFL moved it after looking at the forecast. What the city looked like 8 hours before kickoff is pretty irrelevant when there is supposed to be possibly 20 inches of snow and 50mph winds. They did it for the "safety" of the fans. Not saying I agree with the move, though
