I'm flipping channels right now and yeah, I'm already a little soured.

How do you have Swann over Stallworth? Swann's got the Super Bowl highlights but I always thought Stallworth was a more complete receiver. And Bettis? No slight on him, but I can just imagine the Hall of Famers the left off.

Here's the NFL Networks official list of the Ten Greatest Steelers in history.

10. Jerome Bettis
9. Lynn Swann
8. Hines Ward
7. Troy Polamalu
6. Mel Blount
5. Jack Lambert
4. Rod Woodson
3. Franco Harris
2.Terry Bradshaw
1. Joe Greene

I can live with Swann, but I can't live with Bettis over Ham, or even Bettis over Roethlisberger. And how in the world... the WORLD do you not have Mike Webster somewhere on the list? That just calls into question the legitimacy. Oh, well, I knew they'd throw out a few curves to stir things up.

Merry Christmas!

i tihnk lambert was jobbed. i don't think bettis deserves to be on there. i think blount and woodson need to switch. ham was jobbed. i understand why they don't include linemen, but webster should have made it. not sure who he'd kick off, though.

Re: Just for fun: Top Steeler of All Time

I can understand not putting Big Ben just yet and on that same token Troy P. shouldn't be on the list right now either.

The biggest surprise and it makes the list look real bad is the exclusion of Jack Ham. That was just a crime!

Re: Just for fun: Top Steeler of All Time

I'm sorry but this list is butt. you have swann but not stallworth but you put heinz on. you put jerome and franco on but no Webster. Lambert and Ham is like saying ham and eggs it just sounds right but not on this list they put troy on.

This is the problem with top ten list with teams with a good tradition. I think very few teams could have this problem i think Cowboys would have a problem with this list and maybe the raiders.

Re: Just for fun: Top Steeler of All Time

This list is a joke without Jack Ham.

Also, this list makes it seem like the Steelers started playing in 1969 when Joe Greene was drafted. In reality, they had a few great players on some pretty bad teams from 1933-1969. In particular, Ernie Stautner and John Henry Johnson were absolute standouts, and should be in there.

You could also make a case for Bobby Layne, although he was better for the Lions.
