As much as I hate that the Packers are in the SB it is cool to see a historic matchup between two classic teams.

Go Steelers!

Hmm, didn't Dom Capers used to be the DC for the Steelers way back when? I'm trying to think of connections that these two teams have historically. Kevin Greene of course was a star for the Steelers in the early '90s as well. Hm, I can't really think of anyone on the Steelers that have connections with the Packers though.

Great matchup! Great teams with great QBs and great coaching. I picked against the Pack in every round this postseason and they slapped me silly. On the other side, Roethlisberger's playoff resume is getting up there with Brady's. This game should be a classic.

McCarthy was born in Pitt, and coached at Pitt University for 3 seasons. Capers was DC for the Steelers from 92-94, leading them to a top 3 D in two of those seasons. I was always, and still am, a fan of Dom.

These 2 D's mirror themselves, and it's no coincidence.

If it's not my team winning, I still like to see different champions in every sport. I don't think its trashing them, just like to see something different.

I didn't know that about McCarthy. You learn something new every day

About Big Ben, if he wins the SB I daresay we may be witnessing one of the greatest QBs in league history. He isn't as flashy as Brady can be or as marketable as Manning but the guy just gets it done and often playing sick/hurt.

He may be a louse of a guy personally but as a football player I wouldn't want any other guy as my QB.

Re: Super Bowl XLV: Pittsburgh Steelers v. Green Bay Packers

Just heard that the Packers are the 10th different team to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl in the last 10 years. That's crazy.. and completely opposite of the AFC.

Big Ben gets his shot to raise his Super Bowl ring to rape allegation ratio over 1:1...
