Haha ok, just checking because a lot of people go in a tizzy about how Player A should be getting 10 million a year if Player B is, and players themselves do the same thing, when honestly, what can you do with 10 million that you can't do with 8? Is it really a big deal? lol

Yada yada.

Quit talking to the media and get it done commish. PR statements/moves should not be any actions you shouldbe taking currently...continually say no comment and reach an agreement.

I believe he knows how much this would severly hurt the NFL if a stoppage takes place. It hurt MLB for years with the strike, who knows what it can/would do for the NFL.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

The same ego/self confidence that drives them to be the best in the world is the same ego/self confidence that wants the biggest paycheck. It's hardly about money as much as it is about status/respect. If you're wired that way then you're wired that way. They can't just turn it off when the clock reads 0:00.

Yeah this is pretty empty from Goodell. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

It may be a PR move, but at least it's something.

I think he's sincerely trying to get it taken care of, but he's going to be criticized no matter what.

Anytime somebody in his position go to the media about something like this it screams PR MOVE. Why else would he make this public?

I dont know for sure but doesn't the NFLPA always want the top players to get as much money as they can squeeze so that average salaries continue to increase where the effects trickle down to the least paid players?

I think I read somewhere a while back that that was their excuse for justifying rookie salaries. That somewhere down the line the veterans were benefiting from these outrageous rookie contracts by the trickle down effect.

Regardless, the common NFL fan shouldn't give a damn about this. Goodell would be better off saying he would donate that 10 million to a worthy cause instead of his $1 absurdity.

The NFL is going to need better PR than the letter and the $1 salary. The $1 salary just draw attention to his regular salary. I know we can't play on the field but we might be able to do the commish job.
