But let's not act like Minnesotans are a sober bunch. The only difference is that they inexplicably fill the Metrodome every week when their team is playing like zombies, there is no central area to tailgate, and the stadium is one step above Paul Bunyan's ashtray.

Re: NFL Stadium Rankings

I went to both Candlestick and the Oakland Coliseum this past season, both are horrible and both deserve the low rankings they get on any list.

Sun Life stadium isn't really that bad of a football stadium atleast to me, not great but not terrible. The main thing I hate about it is the unbearable sun at 1pm games and for half of a 4pm game depending where you sit, but i'm assuming you get that at all the other open stadiums.(only been to sunlife and Superdome)

How could the Edward Jones Dome not be 30. that has to be the most boring venue I've ever seen.

I will say it looks nice on the outside, but the inside of that dome is horrendous to look at.

  2. Noise is to some degree a function of scheduling. Remember that the Texans almost always play at noon on Sundays. That means that the average Houston fan doesn't have as much time to get liquored up as say, Joe Packers fan (because GB plays a lot more nationally televised late afternoon and primetime games).

Here is a pic from the Houston game I was at. You tell me if it was half full.

I didn't realize you meant the 2009 opener, but no, Reliant wasn't half full then either...at least, not at first.

Attendance: 70,718

The reason it seemed quiet was because the Texans were getting their brains beat out by the Jets. The Texans trailed 17-0 in the 3rd, lost by a final score of 24-7, and were outgained for the game 462 -183.

Reliant did start to empty out in the third quarter, but that's hardly surprising. There isn't a venue anywhere in the NFL where the fans wouldn't be heading for the exits under those circumstances.

FedEx @ 18?

It should be in the mid to low 20's.

It's such a horrible venue.
