I'm not an Alabama or Ingram fan, but I just think he'll be a top five or 10 back in the NFL. That's all personal opinion of course, but I just think he gets it and will be damn good.
Do you really need someone to explain to you why pos. draft classv or projected to be weak? Ofcourse no one knows for certain how a player will turn out.

John Clay over Mark Ingram?

Why?

Clay is Ron Dayne 2.0. I don't see how he'll have a successful NFL career.

I wouldn't be in the least surprised if Ingram proved to not be the best running back in the class. You never know at this position. The perfect kid can be picked up by the perfect situation team that turns him into a beast. And this is not a knock on Ingram.

I think John Clay is Jerome Bettis 2.0 or atleast Brandon Jacobs.

I'm not sold on Ingram. Everything about him just seems meh. Decent at a lot of things but not really great at any.

That's my whole point. No, I don't need anyone to explain anything to me. All I was trying to say was that you can't say a certain position is necessarily weak. I think there is some good talent there, just as Mike Mayock said as well. There's no sure bets, but overall I think there are some very good running backs in this year's upcoming draft.

Projections are nice but I put very little value in them. In 2013, we'll see how weak this running back class really is.

I don't like John Clay at all for the NFL.

As for this RB class, I think there is a ton of good depth, but no real potential superstars other than Ingram. Obviously who really knows though?

Guys like Dion Lewis, Ryan Williams, Quizz, Kendall Hunter, Derrick Locke, Daniel Thomas, Mikel Leshoure all have a great chance to make an impact. I know I'm missing some guys, but there is a ton of depth in this class.

Great point. Look at Arian Foster, who went undrafted, and led the NFL in rushing this year. Running backs are a funny group, and this is why you see teams waiting til the later rounds to pick them. Put them behind a good offensive line and passing attack, and your fourth or fifth rounder who didn't set the combine on fire can end up leading the NFL in rushing.
