Re: Competition Committee Nonsense

Since I prefer to accentuate positives, moving the kickoff to the 35 yard line would probably eliminate the advantage the coin toss winner had in overtime.

Re: Competition Committee Nonsense

The kickoff rule is going to do nothing to injuries. Good special teams will have the kicker kick it to the 5 yardline high in the air. Then they will try to stop the returner before they get to the 25. Good special teams don't have problems stopping returners inside the 20 now, what do you think is going to happen when you move them 5 yards closer and give the kicker the ability to kick it higher.

I can't see how the NFL doesn't see this. It is going to do nothing. I've seen a handful of the commentators mention it, I guess the NFL committee don't think like coaches.

Should of said good, smart coaches. Fisher is the only one who probably even thought about using the advantage to pin the KR deep.

Re: Competition Committee Nonsense

The NFL is slowly becoming a joke.

I just hope this nonsense doesn't end up ruining college football in some regard down the line.

It is all about the 18 game regular season, which = a watered down processed product.

Devin Hester returned all of 12 kicks last year and 7 in 2009. That's Daniel Manning's job. Devin Hester returns punts.

When you read the first quote, then you read the 2nd quote from Cribbs...it kinda puts it all in perspective.

SMH indeed.
