NFL antitrust lawsuit

Seems that there isn't a thread about this. The NFL is being sued by top players in federal court. I suppose this could go into the CBA thread, but I feel like this needs a thread of its own. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees are among the few players named that are backing this lawsuit. Pretty big names guys. Can this offer any sort of resistance?

This lawsuit will end with the creation of the next CBA (unless the players lose), that's why it's appropriate to discuss in that thread.

The NFL has locked the players out so that they aren't forced to break antitrust rules by imposing free agency and other rules across 32 teams for a non-union labor pool. (the NFL could just not impose rules on Free Agency, but that could do more damage than a work stoppage ever would)

Wednesday is the first court date regarding lifting the lockout.
