Worry not, Panthers fans. Turns out Cam's being coached up by the one, the only, the great Chris Weinke.

Rodgers coaches would continually remind him after a ridiculous but successful Favre play to "never, ever do that." You really want Newton trying to be a Gunslinger?

It's obvious Cam's thinking....

I don't know what the hell Cam's thinking (In my best Bob Uecker voice)

Who better to learn from than the guy who led his team to a stellar 1-15 record his rookie year and 2 career victories as a starter?

A man most QB coaches in the NFL or personal coaches didn't play any ball in the NFL and probably didn't perform good at the college level. Weinke at least was a great on the College level and played in the NFL. Newton can still learn alot from him.

Re: Brett Favre open to working with Cam Newton

Is Favre going to teach him how to become the all-time interceptions leader? If I was Cam, I would stay away from that old geiser. Brett probably texted him his **** already so I doubt Cam will have trouble making a decision.

I was being partly sarcastic, however, does Weinke even coach? Having a great college career and playing in the NFL does not result in them being a good coach. I'm sure there are much more qualified/better coaches from whom Cam can learn

Yea I know you were thats why I was laughing.. Yea I think that's a company he runs. I forgot the name of it. I saw it on that Year of the Quarterback that they were showing on ESPN when they were following Newton, Locker, and Taylor around leading up to the draft..

You're kidding right? The man played 20 years in the league and you dont expect him to be the all time interception leader?
