Most overrated player in the NFL?

Eli Manning- this guy used to be okay now he's just a flat out game manager look at Giant's offensive line and defense and tell me this guy isn't a game manager. If his last name wasn't Manning he wouldn't even be starting.

Matt Stafford- he is made of glass if he falls he breaks his leg and he's out an entire season. He never lived up to 1st overall and everyone thinks he's going to come back next year and lead Detroit to the playoffs.

Mark Sanchez- He is an okay game manager, his defense is so good he could just sit down and still win. Rex Ryan hyped this guy so much and he's not even worth it and easily replaceable.

Re: Most overrated player in the NFL?

I don't think any of the guys you mentioned are over-rated. Eli Manning couldn't even crack the list of the Top 100 Players of 2011 (supposedly voted on by his peers).

Everyone has praised his talent and potential, rightfully so, but no one has Stafford anywhere near the top tier of quarterbacks. He's only been playing two years, but the potential is undeniable, and the playoff predictions isn't solely based on him, although he will have to play a key component.

Mark Sanchez has been protected his first few years, and has taken his fair share of criticism. But it's the same thing with Stafford, no one has him near the top tier of quarterbacks and no one looks for him to carry the Jets. Eventually, he's going to have to grow into that role, but I don't see any praise of him that qualifies as over-rating him.

Now you wanna talk about really being over-rated and not worthy of the lofty praise, there are a couple of guys from the current world champions that I think may come down to earth next season and a Steeler or two that you can take out of the lineup and still have that machine churning at a high level.

Trent Dilfer had Sanchez as a top 5 QB in the AFC.

Elaborate.

And don't say Aaron Rodgers. That would be ignorance.
