Re: Report: CB Nnamdi Asomugha likely to sign with Lions

Nnamdi Asomugha has his own OS Saga now? I disapprove.

Re: The Nnamdi Asomugha Saga

A half baked rumor is now a saga?

Seems we have a rather loose fitting definition of the word here.

I'm guessing Matrix is the one who merged/renamed it and he likes the word "saga" whenever a specific player has their own thread from what I've seen

Probably because it sounds futuristic.

But moving on...

Yeah it was me. It's not a "saga" just yet but it will be. Better than leaving the title as him "likely" going to Detroit.

I don't care how up-and-coming the team is, it's still ridiculous. Unless Nnamdi only cares about money.
I doubt he ends up in Detroit.

Re: The Nnamdi Asomugha Saga

I'm sure i'm in the minority with this but I rather see Johnathan Joseph than Nnamdi only because how much he's going to cost the Eagles, with Joseph we may be able to pick up a linebacker or good dlineman by splitting the cost of what picking up Nnamdi would have. I'm sure if the Eagles do get Nnamdi providing we get a pass rush going this year we'll have a great defensive year. Next we would need to get that right side fixed on the line.

This actually makes a lot of sense in my book. No need to overpay for one corner when you've already got Samuel on the other side. Joseph is a good football player -- he had a Pro Bowl worthy season two years ago. Injuries last year were the only thing stopping him from emerging is one of the top guys imo. Adding Joseph instantly gives the Eagles one of the Top 2 corner tandems in the league.
