Always been a fan of him. But I think it was time to go for him. I believe he stated he wouldn't go anywhere to be a back up.

However if I was the Titans I would've kept him as a bridge to Locker in my opinion.

yeah, with Collins officially out, the Titans are in a bit of a bind, though it would have been 50-50 on them starting Locker anyway even with Collins.
As far as his career, it is what it is I guess. He really didnt do anything "bad" in Tennessee, its just I always wanted to get to the "future" and Collins was never the future yet he played pretty consistently here the last 30-4 years so it was annoying, but he did what he was paid to do out here so I have to respect that.

Not a huge Titans fan but wouldn't he have started this year or are they that determined to start Locker.

I thought is only demand was to be a starter.

Re: Kerry Collins has retired.

Collins was just like Jake Plummer. A solid journeyman/back up QB.

Im not sure how it would have played out had he not retired. Hes a "Nashville guy" so im sure hes had his ear to the ground, and hes probably hearing a lot of Locker hype and felt he wouldn't get a shot or something. Thats my only guess until the lockout ends and camps start.

I remember when he benched himself that time early in his career, he turned it around at the Giants and became a solid QB after that
